Homework Policy

I get that students have a lot going on after school, so I try to make my homework policy as flexible as possible to accomodate needs.

Students have WEEKLY homework EVERY WEEK! Here's how it works:

MONDAY- Students get homework packet/sheet from Mr. C.
Students have Monday afternoon-Friday morning to complete the packet/sheet (to allow for various after-school activities on weekday nights).
FRIDAY (at the latest) Students turn in Homework into the turn-in bin.
LATE POLICY: Students have two additional SCHOOL days to turn in Homework for a reduced grade. This means on a normal week, late homework would be accepted until Tuesday at 3pm. On a week where Monday is a day off, Homework would be accepted until Wednesday at 3pm.
GOAL: My goal with homework is to enrich the skills you are learning in class. This is an on-going process and students may not have mastered the material just yet. Therefore, I grade homework based on completion and effort. My goal is to reward you for putting in effort outside of class!!!!
EXTRA HELP: I am avalible most days during lunch or after school for extra help. Families, if you notice your student is struggling to get homework completed, please reach out so we can make a plan! I am more than willing to accomodate special needs (especially if your student has an IEP or 504) so please reach out!
